[Ghana] UMB organizes Chinese Business Seminar
UMB, in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Ghana organized a seminar for the Chinese business community in Ghana. The event which was held on the 12th August, 2015 at the UMB Head Office, was organized under the theme, “Challenges and Opportunities for Growth of Chinese Business in Ghana” and was aimed at addressing some of the concerns of the Chinese business community.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Sun Baohong; the Managing Director/CEO of UMB, Mr. John Awuah; the CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh, the CEO of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Seth Twum-Akwaboah; the Managing Consultant of WTS Tax Legal Consulting, Mr. Abdallah Ali-Nakyea and a cross section of the Chinese business community in Ghana.
Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah of the AGI gave a presentation on “Partnering with Local Businesses”; Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh of GIPC presented on the “Working Mechanism of GIPC” while Mr. Abdallah Ali-Nakyea of WTS Tax Legal Consulting also presented on “Ghana Tax Law”.
