eCommerce site, JUMIA launches in Angola

Following its recent successful launches in Tanzania, Cameroon and Uganda, JUMIA has expanded to Angola, increasing the number of countries in which the e-commerce site is active to 11 and marks its continuous expansion in Africa.

Angola is Africa’s fifth largest economy, with an estimated GDP of $142 billion for 2015, according to the World Economic Outlook Database by the International Monetary Fund. With a strong purchasing power and growing interest in consumer goods, Angola reveals itself to be a promising market. There is a steadily increasing number of Internet and smartphone users, proving that now is an ideal time for online retail to establish itself.
