Development Bank of Ethiopia sets aside $452million to boost key sectors
Development Bank of Ethiopia has set aside $452million this financial year meant for financial lease.
According to the bank’s President Isayas Bahre the bank has given particular attention to finance lease in addition to its regular project financing activity.
Bahre further adds that the finance lease service will enable citizens to prepare their own projects and obtain loan for machinery and running cost.
He added that the credit service will play crucial role in supporting projects in manufacturing, agro-processing and agricultural sectors from getting delayed due to lack of finance.
It will also help micro, small and medium scale enterprises as well newly established enterprises, he said.
The President said the bank allotted $180million lease finance for micro, small and medium scale enterprises last fiscal year but was not fully utilized.
