[Ghana] Customers win big in Shell Akyede Kese Taxi Bonanza

Vivo Energy Ghana, the CIMG Petroleum Company of the Year 2014, has rewarded 30 customers who won various prizes including a brand new Hyundai i10 Taxi in the first mini draw of the Shell Akyede Kese Reloaded Taxi Bonanza Promotion.

Master Francis Arkoh, a 26 year old commercial (Trotro) driver at Kasoa, and the lucky winner of the brand new Taxi could not hide his excitement at winning the grand prize in the first mini draw.

In an interview, Master Arkoh said, he never believed in promotions saying “I thought it was a scam when I had the call from Shell so I decided to go to the caller’s office with a police man; and lo and behold I saw the car displayed at the Hansonic Shell service station”.

“I am a loyal customer of Shell and always buy my fuel at Kasoa Shell service station in the Central Region. The pump attendants are very friendly and their fuel last longer. I have been having sleepless night ever since Shell told me I had won a Taxi because I couldn’t believe I could wake up one day to be a car owner” says Arkoh.

Presenting the prize, the Retail Manager of Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr. Kwame Ackah said the Shell Akyede Kese Reloaded Taxi Bonanza promotion was designed to celebrate customers in a big way. “That is why this year, the company is giving away four brand new Hyundai i10 taxis cars from Stallion Motors and another 40,000 fantastic prizes. We want to encourage motorists to buy from Shell service stations to benefit from our low prices and win amazing prizes in the promotion.”

Other winners in the first draw includes Mr. Oteng Baffour, Mr. Kwame Appiah Nkansah, Mr. Eric Appiah and Mr. Francis Nanedo. Some winners also took home free fuel and free shopping vouchers.

The Shell Akyede Kese promotion continues and for each visit to a Shell service station, motorists are required to buy a minimum of GH¢60 worth of fuel from any Shell service station across the country to qualify for a scratch card which contains a secret code. Customers are then required to text the secret code to1945 (which cost 10pesewas) to enable them to stand the chance of winning over 10,000 gifts.

There will be another mini draw in December which will see another customer win a brand new taxi, and a final draw in January 2016 to reward two customers with a taxi each.
