CNBC Africa to bring viewers the best of the 2016 World Economic Forum

CNBC Africa viewers will enjoy extensive coverage of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2016, in Davos from 20-23 January 2016 on DStv Channel 410

With a seasoned editorial team deployed to the town of Davos, Switzerland, CNBC Africa will be crossing to the World Economic Forum (WEF) throughout the three-day gathering, interviewing some of the world’s top business leaders and global thinkers on the state of the world in 2016.
For over four decades, the World Economic Forum’s mission – improving the state of the world – has driven the design and development of the Annual Meeting programme and since 2007, CNBC Africa has been on the frontline, bringing the thoughts of global leaders to Africa and the opportunity of Africa to the world.

On Wednesday, 20 January, CNBC Africa will host a discussion at the Brand South Africa ‘Thought Leadership Breakfast’ at the Grischa Hotel in Davos, moderated by Senior Anchor and Executive Director, Bronwyn Nielsen, with a panel including:
• Ben Kruger, Joint-CEO of Standard Bank
• Vassi Naidoo, Executive Chairman of Nedbank
• Nicky Newton-King, CEO of the JSE
• Geoffrey Qhena, CEO of the IDC
This exclusive breakfast will play host to an international delegation of business leaders and government officials as well as international media and will be broadcast on CNBC Africa.
On Thursday, 21 January, CNBC Africa will once again put Africa on the official WEF agenda with a debate titled ‘Africa’s Next Challenge’. Anchored by Bronwyn Nielsen, the panel will include:

• Ethiopian Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn
