Azman Air Acquires Five New Aircrafts to Strengthen Operations

Azman Air Services Limited has acquired five new aircrafts to boost its new expansion programme into more local destinations and enter international routes.

President/Founder, Azman Air, Abdulmunaf Sarina, who disclosed this in Abuja, said that the aircrafts include two B737, two B777-300 and a cargo plane of which one has arrived Aminu Kano International Airport Kano since November 23.

The remaining aircrafts are expected to arrive in the next few weeks, he said.

Azman Air began operations May 15, 2014 with two B737 aircraft after securing the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

He said Azman Air serves Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna, Yola, Sokoto and Kano routes but with the additional aircraft, the airline hopes to fly to Asaba, Enugu and Port Harcourt, for now.

“We acquired five more aircraft recently out of which one came on Monday and the aircraft is there at the Aminu Kano International Airport because that is our base. `We currently have four B737-300 aircraft, one cargo aircraft which is 737-400 and there are two 777-300 that are coming which we are going to make international routes with,” he said.
