[Angola] Programme Envisages Building of Over 200,000 Houses By 2017

 The National Programme of Urbanisation and Housing foresees to provide to the population, by 2017, about 213,000 houses and 14 new city centres accross the country to reduce the huge housing deficit in the country.

The information was released Monday in Luanda by the minister of Territory Administration, Bornito de Sousa, at the closing ceremony of the 3rd International Conference on Housing Imogestin/17 years.

According to the Government minister, the planning, financing and construction of the centralities are a viable opportunity for families, young people in particular, according to their means, to buy houses and live in these projects in dignity.

 
 The Cabinet official acknowledged that the experience of the centralities of Kilamba, Sequele and urbanization of Nova Vida reveals shortcomings which need to be overcome or correct.

He said that citizens dwelling in the centralities or cities want a modern, affordable, fast and close administrative service, well managed and with an adequate service provision in the areas of education, health and medical care.
