[Angola] French Agency Pledges Funds for Social Projects
The French Agency for Development ( AFD) will fund projects linked to energy, water and sanitation in Angola.
This was announced Wednesday in Luanda by AFD regional director, Martha Stein-Scochas.
The official was speaking to journalists at the end of an audience granted to her by the Angolan secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto.
Martha Stein-Scochas said Angola is in the priorities of AFD's funding programmes for countries south of the Sahara.
She said AFD finances projects in 90 countries endeavouring to get rid of under-development.
The AFD delegation is in Angola for a three-day visit for implementation of the accord signed by president José Eduardo dos Santos and his French counterpart, François Hollande, on July 3, this year year in Luanda.
