Angola bets on 44 logistical platforms to spur agriculture and manufacturing

Angola is counting on the construction of 44 logistical platforms to boost agriculture and provide facilities to the manufacturing industries.

According to the minister of Transport, Augusto da Silva Tomás the construction of the platforms will allow the emergence of other activities in the agricultural field.

"The sector complementarity arising from the concentration of activities in various sectors, such as trade, agricultural and industrial, can generate growth and lead to the creation of productive platforms in a broader geographical perspective," he argued.

The logistics platforms have a vision of the future and success, stressed Augusto Tomás.

The minister said that the construction of the platforms will strengthen the public/private partnership to ensure greater insertion and participation of the national business in the State policies aimed at diversifying the national economy.

He was speaking while attending a conference that also addressed issues related to the strategy to address crisis and the legal regime of the National Network of Logistics Platforms.
