[Algeria] Employers' Organisations for Consensus, Mobilization Against Economic Crisis

Employers' organisations advocate consensus and mobilization of all parties of the tripartite, to meet Wednesday in Biskra, to face the economic crisis and stress the urgency of reviving the industrial apparatus.

These organizations highlight the "particularity" of the upcoming tripartite (government-labour-management) that should come out with "concrete" solutions and actions likely to curb the effects of this crisis, revive the industry and diversify the economy.

In this context, moving towards a consensus and a common approach between government, employers and the union becomes a necessity to enable Algeria, which still has room to manoeuvre, to overcome this situation, representatives of employers' organizations told APS.

For the Business Leaders Forum (FCE), this tripartite constitutes "an extremely important meeting in the context of a difficult economic and financial situation which requires a dialogue, reconciliation and consensus between the authorities, employers and the union on structural reforms to be undertaken to ensure an economic transition."

In this context, the vice chairman of the FCE Salah-Eddine Abdessemed stresses that central and local economic governance as well as coordination between different economic sectors represent a necessity so as to mobilize all potentials and to achieve this challenge.
