Harriet Group in collaboration with the Social and Economic Research Foundation (SERF) will host the 1st ever East African Counter Terrorism (EACT) Conference and Expo at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nairobi on the 16th and 17th July.

The EACT conference is privileged and humbled to acknowledge the support of Hon. Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery, Office of the President, Ministry of the Interior and Coordination of National Government who will honour us by his presence and give the keynote opening speech.

The Counter Terrorism Conference and Expo will focus on the theme: “Strength through knowledge ” and will seek to empower delegates from the public and private sector who have a strategic, operational or vested interest in developing and/or implementing policies, plans and procedures designed to manage the risks associated with the threat of terrorism across the region.

An imminent panel of academic experts will help to establish the context within which security practitioners must ground our conclusions and this panel will support the efforts of security industry experts in refining strategies, policies and procedural initiatives which empower all who have a contribution to make in enhancing our capacity to manage the risk of terrorist activities

The conference will assemble security experts drawn from Kenya, East Africa and Kenya’s global Counter Terrorism partners and seek to empower delegates by identifying practical (strategic and operational) initiatives which significantly enhance our capacity to manage this risk”.
